Information we collect
Account and profile data
We collect your name, email address, phone number, blood group, password in securely hashed form, optional address, donor availability, and eligibility-related dates such as your last donation or antibiotic completion date.
Blood requests and donation activity
We store blood requests, urgency, patient name when supplied, request location, request status, donation commitments, completion records, no-show or cancellation records, and reward points.
Location data
When an available donor grants location permission, the app sends current coordinates to the LifePulse backend for nearby matching. Location updates pause when the app is not active or donor availability is disabled. Request locations are stored so donors can see approximate distance and navigate to the place of need.
Device and technical data
We store authentication session records and Expo push-notification tokens for signed-in devices. Standard server logs may include request time, network address, endpoint, and error information needed for security and reliability.
How we use information
- Create and protect your LifePulse account.
- Match medically compatible and eligible donors with nearby blood requests.
- Coordinate accepted donations and send status or safety notifications.
- Maintain donation history and award points after verified completion.
- Prevent duplicate actions, abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
LifePulse supports coordination and does not replace medical screening or professional medical advice. Hospitals and qualified health professionals make final donation-suitability decisions.
Retention and security
Active account records remain available while you use LifePulse. Optional height, weight, usual blood-pressure status, and recent medication details support donor screening but do not replace screening by a healthcare professional. Live donor location is cleared when availability is disabled, and expired sessions or temporary reset codes are no longer usable. Donation records remain linked to the account so history, eligibility, and rewards stay accurate. Security logs may record login time, result, IP address, and device/browser information to help detect abuse and investigate account access.
We use HTTPS in production, authenticated API access, password hashing, restricted administrative access, throttling, and session revocation. No system can guarantee absolute security, so please use a unique password and never share authentication codes.
Delete your account
You can request account deletion at any time. Your account is deactivated and hidden immediately: live location and device tokens are removed, active requests are cancelled, and any active donation commitment is released so the recipient's request can return to eligible donors.
Delete from the LifePulse app
- Sign in and open Profile.
- Select Delete Account.
- Enter your current password and confirm deactivation.
Delete without the app
Email [email protected] from the email address registered to your account with the subject “LifePulse account deletion request.” We may ask you to verify ownership before deletion.
You have 30 days to recover the account by signing in again with the same email address and password. After that recovery period, the account and associated records are permanently deleted. Encrypted backups, where used, may retain a protected copy until their normal rotation and are not restored for ordinary service use.
Your choices
- Edit your name, address, and donor availability from Profile.
- Disable donor availability to stop location updates and clear stored live location.
- Control location and notification permissions in your device settings.
- Contact support to correct protected fields such as phone number or blood group.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information.
